DETERMINING OUR MATERIAL TOPICS

Content to be included in this Integrated Report has been selected through a systematic materiality analysis, which reflects the topics that could materially affect the Bank's ability to create value over the short, medium and long-term. These issues and topics are directly or indirectly integrated into the daily management of our operations as part of our strategy or risk management practices.

This year, we have adopted a more holistic approach towards our reporting and broadened the scope of our material topics to include issues that are not specifically identified as material topics by GRI. In determining material content, we have taken into consideration potential impacts on the Bank's value creation process, strategy and capital inputs as well as emerging risks and opportunities in the operating landscape. Identified issues are then assessed based on the likelihood of occurrence and magnitude of the effect and prioritized through collective agreement. Where relevant, the topics identified have been mapped to those prescribed by the GRI Standards and the GRI G4-Financial Services Sector Disclosure.
