NDB Bank continued a decade long partnership with Ceylonese Rugby & Football Club (CR&FC) via a formal MoU signing and Affinity Card launch.
The event was graced by the NDB CEO Dimantha Seneviratne, Personal Banking & Customer Experience Senior Vice President Sanjaya Perera, NDB Chief Operating Officer Deepal Akuretiyagama, CR&FC President Ted Muttiah, Honorary General Secretary Jakque Diasz, Immediate Past President Sriyan Cooray and a number of the Clubs esteemed members and NDB Staff.
The CR&FC has gained recognition over the years as one of premier sports and recreation clubs in the country. With a proud history going back to 1922, the Club has stood the test of time to become a much-respected name in the sporting arena as well as much sought after location for recreation and entertainment in Colombo.
NDB Bank proudly partnered with the club this year, as the CR&FC marks its centenary in September, celebrating a 100 years of proud sporting traditions.
Simultaneously, the event marked the launch of the NDB-CR&FC Affinity Card providing a range of attractive benefits to the members of the club. Speaking at the occasion NDB CEO Dimantha Seneviratne stated that the Bank partnered with CR&FC in order to encourage and empower the qualities of sportsmanship such as team work and passion within the community. “CR&FC has always encouraged the development of qualities such as sportsmanship, hard work, team work, focus & passion in its teams through sport and it is these same qualities that we at NDB share as well, making our association as Banking Partner an ideal match, as we support the club in all its financial endeavors, paving way to greater success in the future,” he said.
Speaking on the partnership, President of CR&FC Ted Muttiah stated “The CR&FC is delighted to have NDB as its banking partner. NDB of course is a long-standing supporter over the years. It is particularly encouraging that in this year of our centenary and amidst the economic headwinds, this long tenured relationship is further strengthened”. Adding “to adapt the bank’s slogan, the CR&FC is indeed banking on NDB” he quipped.
As part of the association, the Bank becomes the Official Banker to the club as well as making available a host of banking solutions including online banking and the revolutionary NEOS mobile banking app to its esteemed membership base.
