Choose from three types of accounts, to suit your needs while maximising your savings.

Regular Savings - Maintain a minimum balance of just Rs. 5,000 and keep withdrawals to a maximum of four a month, to earn a very attractive rate of interest on your balance.

Flexi-Savings - Flexi-savings offers you the additional flexibility of unlimited withdrawals, while still earning interest on the daily balance, provided a minimum balance of Rs. 5,000 is maintained.

Premium Savings - Maintain a minimum balance of Rs. 250,000 and earn a premium interest rate. Up to 4 withdrawals are permitted per month.

Special Savings - Open an account for Rs. 1,000 and start earning interest. Up to 4 withdrawals are permitted per month.

Premium Plus - Maintain a minimum balance of Rs. 100,000 & earn a higher interest rate of 14%. With 4 withdrawals per month.

Easy Access
You will be entitled to a VISA Electron ATM/Debit Card. You can also access to your account, from wherever you are, through NDB Bank Online - our Internet Banking service and TOUCH - Banking by Phone.

Interest
Interest is calculated on daily balance and credited monthly

Safe Deposit Locker
You will be entitled to a safe deposit locker* at a nominal rental, provided an average balance of Rs. 75,000 is maintained in the account. Click here for more details. *subject to availability

To open an account, you will need

  • An initial deposit of Rs. 1,000 for a Special Savings Account, Rs. 5,000 for a Regular or Flexi Savings Account or Rs. 250,000 for a Premium Savings Account or Rs 50,000 for a Premium Plus Savings Account.
  • A copy of your National Identity Card or a valid passport

Tax
Withholding tax is payable on interest earned as specified by the Department of Inland Revenue.
